CBD is a shortener from Cannabidiol, which is a chemical compound extracted from the hemp plant. It is one of around 85 unique compounds found in hemp plant, known as cannabinoids.
Cannabinoids in our body are either external and consumed called; (phytocannabinoids) or internal and produced naturally by the body (endocannabinoid). Both of there chemicals that interact with the body’s central regulatory system which has some control managing body homeostasis and affect appetite, mood and sleep.
CBD is an example of a phytocannabinoid and considered as external intake. Our bodies are able to naturally produce some endocannabinoids (internal) that bind to cannabinoid receptors in both the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system, phytocannabinoids still can help to kickstart our central regulatory system. CBD has many benefits related to sleep, appetite, pain relief, and mood but it is not considered as psychoactive compound like THC, which another compound found in Marijuana plant, but not found in a Hemp plant. CBD is found in both plants.
CBD Oil then is made by extracting CBD from the hemp plant, then diluting it with a carrier oil like hemp seed oil or coconut oil for the purpose of storing and consumption.
